Does Ukulele Pouch work without internet?
Yes. The whole app works offline. You only need internet to download and update the app (and optionally to transfer files between devices).
How does the tuner work, and why does it need microphone access?
First, allow microphone access - it's used only to detect the note you're playing. Then just pluck the strings: the app automatically detects which string is sounding and how well it's tuned. You can also manually pick a specific string or tuning anytime.
How does chord detection on the interactive fretboard work?
You simply tap which strings are open and which are fretted at specific positions. The app then automatically finds chord names that match the fingering.
What can the app play back?
You can play chord fingerings, custom shapes from the interactive fretboard, scale tones and diatonic chords, chord progressions in the selected key, and your own tabs created in the editor.
How do I back up my data or move it to a new phone?
Open Export in Settings and choose what you want to back up. The app creates a file you can move to a new phone. Then open Import in Settings and load the file. Your own tabs can be included too when selected during export.
What can I customize in the app?
For example: the floating tools button, showing the current note while tuning, automatic PDF color inversion, theme (light/dark), language, and the metronome sound.
How do I report a problem or contact support?
In Settings, scroll down to Contact support. It opens your email app with a pre-filled template - just add details and send it.
